Lesson1-Day 3 Christ is Reproducing His Church Among All Nations

I liked the quote from Don Richardson:
"We like to think that the Book of Acts is the story of the church bringing the gospel to the world. In fact, it is the story of God's Spirit overcoming the reluctance of the church to bring the gospel to the world."
The prayer then should be asking for our church to have a more ready willingness to embrace His mission. If we embrace His mission, we embrace His passion for people of the world wherever they live.

I think it would be good for us to answer the questions: How is God bringing people from other nations into the community where we live? How is the Lord already connecting our church with ministries in other part of the world? Lets dialogue on these questions. What do you see happening?

Let me get us started by mentioning our relationship with missionaries throughout the world. Cables in Thialand; Lindstroms in Papua New Guinea; Conners in Mexico; Yongs in Cameroon; Nandas in India. There are many others - tell us about them.

Yes, the church is involved in helping to establish new churches in the immediate area, as well as supporting several international efforts to spread the gospel and reproduce Christ's church around the world. These are right and good. But what about unreached people groups in our own community, our schools and our homes?

I am talking about mentally or congnitively disabled individuals that also long to know their loving Creator, discover their value to the Kingdom, and are often not shy about sharing the Good News with others.

Let's look for opportunities to include these folks in real fellowship, many of whom no longer live within families of their own. Let's find ways to be of service to them, as well as be creative in finding genuine ways that they can use their God-given abilities in service to the Kingdom.

Let's put the gospel "cookies" on a shelf that can be reached from a wheelchair, with a label written in Braille, in its most pure and simple form, that ALL may see and comprehend the glory of the risen Christ!
